I feel the same nostalgia and yearning, and sadness for my 14 year old daughter, that she's growing up in this weird-ass time. But I have to believe there's enough of us that the tide is turning, in your country and mine, and we will Make Normal Normal (and Great) Again.

I sing ‘I’ve been driving in my car’ by Madness to my 3 year old granddaughter when she is tootling around in her pedal car and she loves it and has a go at singing along. Happy days 😍
The other funny thing is how supposedly absolutely everything that is wrong with the world is due to the west and western cultures racism, sexism, colonialism, xenophobia, and religious intolerance, but racism, sexism, colonialism, xenophobia, and religious intolerance is not only okay, but is actually a form of "cultural diversity" that must not just be overlooked and excused, but celebrated in migrants from the Middle East and Africa.
